Through accredited Continuing Education (CEU) programs, thought-leadership initiatives, and public advocacy, The AgeWise Institute is committed to reducing preventable readmissions, promoting safe home environments, and building stronger connections between rehabilitation professionals, discharge planners, social workers, and home modification experts.

We are not just educators — we are advocates for the Aging in Place movement, empowering those who care for our aging population with the knowledge and tools to make independent living safer, smarter, and more accessible for everyone.

Our Founder: Paul C. Bastante, CAPS & BDM at 101 Mobility North Jersey

Paul C. Bastante is a U.S. Navy Veteran (1992–1996), Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), educator, and storyteller dedicated to improving quality of life through better home safety and accessibility.

As Business Development Manager at 101 Mobility North Jersey, Paul has seen firsthand how small home modifications — a grab bar, ramp, or stairlift — can dramatically change a patient’s outcome after discharge. His work connecting rehab teams, social workers, and home accessibility experts inspired him to launch The AgeWise Institute, bridging clinical education and real-world solutions.

Paul’s unique blend of healthcare collaboration, field experience, and advocacy forms the backbone of The AgeWise Institute’s mission:

to ensure every healthcare professional is equipped to help their patients live — and age — with safety, confidence, and independence.

Our Vision

To become the nation’s leading source of education and advocacy for aging in place — empowering professionals, informing families, and shaping a safer, more connected future for older adults.

Our Commitment

  • Delivering evidence-based, accredited continuing education

  • Promoting collaboration between clinical and home safety experts

  • Advancing awareness and advocacy for the right to age safely at home

The AgeWise Institute — where knowledge meets compassion, and every lesson helps someone live better, longer, and wiser.

At The AgeWise Institute, we believe that aging wisely means aging safely — at home, with dignity and independence.

Education. Advocacy. Empowerment for Aging in Place.
